Navigating the Inner Landscape of Decision-Making and Trusting your Intuition
I trust my intuition above all else. It guides me, yet I often wonder where it comes from. My instincts are so innate that breaking them down feels impossible.
You might ask, “Why bother understanding instincts?” Great thinkers like Freud, Jung, and Morris sought answers to similar questions.
These pioneers aimed to understand behavioral patterns to unlock opportunities and solve problems. My journey to make sense of my own instincts feels like a small task in comparison to their monumental work.
As an entrepreneur, I find it challenging to explain my decisions, as they often stem from intuition. It all began with a simple question:
What is a feeling? Another question soon followed: Are these feelings conscious or unconscious? Do I make decisions based on information, or do I process everything in real time?
Reflecting on moments when I relied on my intuition, I discovered that most feelings arise without conscious thought. It’s reassuring to know that my unconscious mind is at work.
Yet, I grapple with understanding how to harness it. Random events in my life seem to create an invisible pattern that guides my decisions. This phenomenon is both complex and beautiful, albeit difficult to articulate.
Carl Jung referred to this as the collective unconscious, a hidden force that guides us, rooted in our innate desire to find meaning.
This experience is unique to each individual, and its subjectivity is both thrilling and perplexing. It challenges my understanding of causality and ignites my curiosity about the connection between my inner and outer worlds.
After months of exploring my thought process, I stumbled upon an intriguing tangent: my mind creates subtexts for the world around me.
Let me explain. When I watch movies, I sometimes rely on subtitles, but my mind adds a secondary layer. I pick up on unspoken elements such as graphics, lighting, and camera angles. My appreciation for anime has taught me to look beyond the surface—not because I’m a film buff, but because it sharpens my perceptual skills.
This ability enhances my thinking. Rather than relying on reviews, I form my own opinions. This shift has accelerated my growth and deepened my understanding of various concepts.
I now see hidden meanings everywhere. I tell stories, draw wild analogies, and use metaphors that may seem unconventional yet resonate with others.
This journey has led me to explore my psychology, philosophy, and artistic interests. It’s a path that turns my gaze inward as I look outward. I question my beliefs, reflect through writing, and seek hidden meanings in everything.
Trusting our intuition is a powerful tool in decision-making. By exploring the invisible patterns that guide us and cultivating a deeper understanding of our instincts, we can unlock new insights and perspectives.
I encourage you to embark on your own journey of self-discovery, question your beliefs, and remain open to the hidden meanings that enrich your experience of the world.
